Soul-mates

Do you believe in soul-mates? I do. For as long as I can remember, I have always believed that there was at least one very special someone out there for each of us. The subject of soul-mates is something I've wanted to blog about for a while now,  but tonight seems to be the most perfect opportunity.
You see, MY soul-mate, Heart, is far away from me right now and I think it is when soul-mates are parted that they feel their bond intensely.

Wikipedia defines a soul-mate this way:
A term sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, love, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, and/or compatibility. A related concept is that of the twin flame or twin soul – which is thought to be the ultimate soulmate, the one and only other half of one's soul, for which all souls are driven to find and join.

I also found this definition on a website called: Soulmate relationships:

"Soul Mates and Twin Flames are not the same thing. Soul Mates are other souls that have agreed to connect with you on this planet for a purpose. In some cases it is to clear up karma, in other cases it is to finish unfinished business, and for some it is to accomplish a particular goal together. These relationships may be
a joy to be in or these relationships may be a pain in your life. Either way they are here for a reason.

When Soul Mates first meet they sometimes feel as if they already know each other. They may feel very familiar to each other. Soul Mates can have a beautiful relationship together, but it will take work. Soul Mate relationships may last a lifetime and others may only be for a particular purpose and be temporary. You can have more than one Soul Mate in a lifetime.

Twin Flames are very different and very rare. Twin Flames are two people in two separate bodies that share the same Soul. Twin Flames meet each other in their first incarnation so that they remember the soul frequency of the other being. They are then usually reunited on their last time to this planet. If Twin Flames meet before they are ready they can be the total opposite and not at all compatible. When Twin Flames meet and are ready for each other, it is the most enjoyable experience possible on Earth.

At this point, Twin Flames are almost identical. They truly compliment each other and it is a hardship for them to be apart. As an outside observer it is sometimes hard to distinguish the two people. They also have a very strong bond and often have telepathy with each other. Their lives even before meeting each
other have many parallels. Again, meeting your Twin Flame is very rare on this planet."


Reading the above, you have to of course understand reincarnation which means that you-yoursoul- are born more than once onto this earth, to learn and to grow spiritually.


Personally, I don't really know if reincarnation is real or not, but I lean more toward believing in it than disbelieving. Based on some things I've experienced in my life (as well as read about), it does seem likely. And it makes sense really--what better way would there be for us to grow toward perfection spiritually? (God-like perfection) If we experience life again from all angles. Yes, we would learn quite a bit more than if we just had a chance one time around. It is something to ponder..



But, to soulmates--as I said, MY soulmate happens to be away from me right now and it (as always) has caused me quite a bit of grief. When you have a soulmate, or in our case,  a "twin soul" (or twin flame), it is absolute torture for you to be away from the one you love. I do believe that we are twin flames and remember telling HEART (after researching it) this right from the start. Just reading the definition above, I have to admit that we harbor all the signs and symptoms of "twin flames".



For example, I had a strange thing happen to me this morning. You see, last night, Heart, exhausted from her trip, accidentally fell asleep before she could call me and say goodnight. We had talked early in the evening but she THOUGHT she had called me before she went to sleep. She said she vividly dreamed it and really believed this morning that she had talked to me although I told her that she had not. I'm sure her spirit talked to mine though as it sometimes does. Although I could not rest at all last night, (common when she is not with me) I knew that she was thinking of me. I can feel it when she is and have always been able to. She tells me that she feels exactly the same way.  This morning when she did call me, we talked for a bit, but afterward,  I drifted back off to sleep. Only it wasn't real sleep--it was more like, I was resting peacefully but half in and half out of sleep. What woke me again was that I heard Heart's voice loudly call out my name. It startled me and I woke up immediately. Yes, it was HER voice that I heard and I heard it plainly. I have to say that I believe I have only had this happen with one other person in my life and that person is a relative and someone I have always been extremely close to since I was a baby. (my paternal grandmother) I have heard her voice calling to me several times when we were apart.



My point in saying this is that I believe I heard Heart call my name because she was thinking of me at that time. And she told me she was--quite strongly in fact, because she was feeling terrible about falling asleep and not REALLY calling the night before. I truly believe that because she was THINKING of me and sending me love at that time, I could really hear her in my spirit. Have you ever had this happen before? I would be curious to know..


There have been many instances when she and I seem to communicate even though we aren't actually using words to speak. This has happened almost from the time we met. We often know what the other is thinking and can usually finish each others sentences. I understand that this is common with soulmates. Even when we are apart, I can actually "feel" it when she is thinking of me (sometimes even WHAT she is thinking) and I can also feel that she is troubled.



I think this deep spiritual (psychic) bond is one of the things we felt  immediately upon meeting. That and we felt that we had known each other for all our lives, even though, of course, we had not. I remember how it was-- we could not bear to be even a few feet away from each other the FIRST day we met in person. It was strange--even to me-- but I can tell you that even after that day we had to be in contact with each other in someway almost constantly..

Tonight it is very hard to be without Heart. As you can probably guess, we have not only talked on the phone today but texted each other all day long. :)


I have to say that I am very happy to have finally found my soulmate in this life. For a very long time I didn't think I ever would.


I remember wishing a long time ago that I had someone who was just perfect for me. I told my mom this and she, (being very psychic and metaphysically inclined) said: "Write it down..write down the characteristics of the person you want. If you do, this person will eventually come to you.


Even though I was a little skeptical back then, I did it and she was right! The person I described on that piece of paper showed up one day back in 2002- at a time I was least expecting it...

The funny thing is, I didn't specify that my perfect person had to be a man.. :)



Oh and by the way, just to show you how deep the soulmate connection can be...
